Summer is just around the corner, have you made your plans yet? With so much to choose from, it can be difficult to sift through what would be best for your child. Is your choice doing something educational? Will it be spiritual? Will it be physical or cerebral? Will it be social or recreational? Camp Wakonda answers all of those questions with a resounding YES!! Campers have the opportunity to learn about themselves, the environment, and gain skills in new areas. They will build friendships with cabin mates and Camp Wakonda counselors because at Camp Wakonda you don't have to make friends they are given to you.

Camp Wakonda allows campers to experince God and the YMCA mission in a pristine outdoor enviornment where they feel close to God's perfect creation. They will work up a sweat playing games, climbing on the tower, swimming in the pool, and just being kids. They will be challenged to think of how to become people of character and of course they will have tons of fun! As you look for things to compliment a child's growth, look to Camp Wakonda to be your partner in developing a strong child that will grow into a strong adult in spirit, mind, and body.
