Your Downtown YMCA is a 60,000 square foot facility
located at 417 S. Jefferson in Springfield, MO.
Your Downtown Y is situated in the heart of a thriving center city
area that plays host to eclectic boutique shopping, art galleries,
bed and breakfasts, restaurants and live entertainment. Your Downtown
YMCA serves communities in Greene County where it's located.
We are a full-service facility featuring an indoor track, indoor
pool, family/women's and men's locker rooms, sauna, steam room and
whirlpool, a Wellness Room, a massage therapist, two Basketball courts,
racquetball court, a cardio floor, group cycling area, a weight room
with a full line of free weights and Cybex Machines, and a three-story
climbing wall.
Your Downtown YMCA was the first YMCA location in Springfield, organized
in 1889. Our historic building underwent a $2.5 million renovated
in 2003, allowing for an entire floor of corporate offices that overlook
the climbing wall.
The facility also features a Men's Fitness Center located on the
west side of the building.
Joining your Downtown YMCA or the Men's Fitness Center
is easy! Just come fill out a membership application in-person at
your Downtown YMCA Welcome Center. You will pay a building fee and
your first month's membership fee at that time. Or, you can pay in
one lump sum for the entire year.
After paying in-person, you may choose to have your monthly membership
fee deducted from your bank account [bank draft] or from your credit
card (credit card draft).
Then, just take advantage of all your local YMCA has to offer
you: member program discounts, fitness, child care while you work
out, community-building special events, and the feeling of knowing
that being part of the YMCA is helping to build strong kids and
families in your community through our not-for-profit status and
mission to make our communities better places to work, live and
grown up in.
