Yoga (age 13+) The Y offers varying levels of yoga from
Intro To Yoga classes to Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and
advanced yoga for athletes classes. These classes will
focus on strength through stretching and lengthening
the muscles.
Gentle Yoga
A 30 minute class focusing on restorative postures
and gentle stretching.
Power Yoga
is taught in the Vinyasa-style and to all fitness levels.
The word Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement".
This helps to warm the body while strengthening and lengthening.
Stretch
a 20 minute YOGA/ PILATES based class intended to stretch
and balance out our muscles from repeated cardio & weight sessions.
Selah Strength
a YOGA/ PILATES based class, set to contemporary
Christian Music to lift your Spirit, Mind and Body.
Yin Yoga and Yoga Therapy
Yoga for the joint and connective tissue,
Not Yoga for the muscles. Yin Yoga will help increase your range of
motion and revitalize over used joints and connective tissue
from over use or lack of use. Great for everyone!
Iyengar Yoga
This type of yoga is known for its use of props to perform asanas (postures). The props enable students to perform asanas correctly, minimizing the risk of injury or strain, and making the postures accessible to both young & old. The development of strength, mobility, and stability are emphasized through the asanas. There is a monthly fee for this class. $20.00 members, $50.00 non-members
