Thank you for choosing the Dallas County Area YMCA for swim lessons! The Ozark Regional YMCA has been teaching swim lessons for our community for over 100 years! Thank for choosing us to teach your child one of the most important survival skill to learn.

Class Time: 5:15 pm

Class length: 30 minutes

Parent/Child Swimming

Ages 6-36 months

Designed to help your child become comfortable in and around water so they are ready to learn to swim as well as teach the parent how to help the child in the learning process. Basic swimming skills will be introduced. Each child must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

Preschool Swimming

Ages 3-5

Children ages 3-5 will begin learning how to swim with their faces underwater, how to jump in the pool and how to retrieve toys from the bottom of the pool. Class emphasizes skills of body position, arm movements, kicking, floating and breathing.

Youth Swimming

Ages 6-12

YMCA swimming is about water safety, skill development and fun for everyone. Classes are divided into ability groups and trained instructors emphasize personal safety, swimming skills, endurance and social skills whild guiding students with praise and encouragement. Our swim lessons are more than just the techniques and skills; they are about building friendships, developing self-esteem and creating positive experiences that will last a lifetime.
