Something as simple as "I Enjoyed Watching You Play Today!" can go a long way for your child. Showing support to your children will enhance your family life and their social life. Be intentional about showing them support each and every game!
ONLINE SCHEDULES & ALERTS
There are two ways to access our sports game schedules:
1. Download our app
2. Check your sport page
Your coach will contact you 2 or 3 days following the set coaches meeting. Please note your coach's information for your records. If you have not heard from your coach within the 2 or 3 days, please contact the YMCA at 417-881-1599 or email@example.com.
AT GAME TIME
Please arrive with plenty of time for parking and locating the correct field/court. Each team will have time to warm up before each game. When game time arrives, the referee or umpire will call both teams together for a character lesson, pledge, and prayer. After the game, the teams will shake hands and then go to their coach for a talk and snack.
Our goal is to encourage healthy spirit, mind and body for all...especially for your child. Behavior that is unsportsmanlike, unruly or interferes with the progress of the game never helps any child. Please help us be strong role models for all children. This sport is designed for them to develop and grow.
WEATHER & MAKE-UP GAMES
In the case of inclement weather, call the YMCA Sports Hotline at 417-891-8000 to find out if your game is cancelled or delayed. This hotline will carry the most up-to-date information straight from our Sports Director. The hotline will be updated at least one hour before the start of the first games. If there is not a current message, games are still running as scheduled.
Weather cancellations, on the YMCA's part, will include one guaranteed make-up game. Information about the make-up day will be delivered to team coaches.
HEALTHY SNACK OPTIONS
The Y does not require teams to provide snacks, but if your team does provide snacks, we encourage you to bring healthy choices! If your child has any allergies, please let your coaches know. Below are some ideas for healthy snacks:
