Radioactive Cheer, ““One Heart, One Soul, One Team, One Goal,” a program at the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA and part of the Ultimate Gymnastics and Cheerleading, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
We believe that through cheerleading, our students will develop the skills to become leaders and team players. Each student will have opportunities to lead their teams; whether that’s through being good examples to each other, or even leading stretching.
Each student has leadership qualities, and it’s our goal to help them develop those skills.
It’s our heart to see children grow in their skill level, passion, in themselves, and together, therefore we are working on expanding our program. We support youth in Taney, Stone, Ozark counties and some of Arkansas the opportunity to learn, grow and compete in team cheer competitions.
Tiny and Mini cheerleading teams are a younger group that learns fundamental skills and basic routines. This is the first step in training for competitive cheer and this team will compete in events. These team members are selected in strength and potential. Team members must attend a minimum of twice each week for an hour or more each.
Junior and Senior cheerleading teams learn routines based on specific guidelines. Advanced skills are learned based on their level. This group competes in area/regional meets and has the potential to compete at Nationals. Attendance 2-3 times per week for a total of 4-7 weekly practice hours.
