STAYING SAFE TOGETHER

The Ozarks Regional YMCA has implemented the following safety protocols in an effort to reduce the health risks for members, staff and other visitors to our facility.

We know you are eager to return to normalcy and understand that the CDC released new recommendations regarding vaccinated individuals and mask requirements.

Masks/face coverings will be optional at the Ozarks Regional YMCA beginning May 28, 2021.

  • Masks are no longer required for those who are vaccinated and/or for those with medical conditions or disabilities preventing them from wearing a mask.

  • Masks are highly encouraged for those who are not fully vaccinated, including children. Adult and children ages 12 and older that are not vaccinated, please continue to wear a mask and practice social distancing, out of care and respect for those around you.

  • The YMCA will not require proof of vaccination.

  • We ask that all members demonstrate the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility toward each other and our dedicated staff team.

WHAT THE Y IS DOING

The YMCA will continue to practice the following safety measures:

  • Personal Protective Equipment such as masks and gloves are available for All Staff.

  • Members will be asked to self-scan to allow for limited contact due to limited capacity based on state guidelines.

  • Designed for Social Distance: All open areas inside the Y have been evaluated and re-designed where necessary to help ensure social distancing between members. Signage is prominent throughout the facility to drive awareness of this requirement.

  • Enhanced cleaning practices and increased frequency.

  • Social distancing for equipment, spacing in group exercise classes and formal groups/meetings.

  • Requiring quarantine for staff members who test positive for COVID-19.

HOW WE’RE ASKING MEMBERS TO HELP

MAINTAIN SAFETY

The YMCA appreciates members’ adherence to the following safety precautions during their visits:

  • Stay Home if You’re Sick: Members should stay home if they don’t feel well. Members of vulnerable populations, including those with underlying health conditions, are strongly encouraged to check with their doctor prior to visiting.

  • Bring a Towel, and a Water Bottle: Members will be asked to bring their own water bottle and a workout towel (towel services will not be provided).

  • Keep Your Distance: Please exercise on designated equipment only and respect all signage regarding social distancing. Strive to maintain at least six feet between you and others whenever possible.

  • Register for classes, pool lanes and Kid zone in the App: To ensure proper social distancing, please sign up for classes, lap lanes and kid zone through the Y app.

  • Remember to Wipe Down Equipment:  Please help us reduce the risk of exposure by wiping down all equipment, weights, mats, etc. with the provided cleaning materials.

  • Please wash your hands and use hand sanitizer regularly.

  • At Ozarks Regional YMCA, the safety of our children, members, and Y staff continues to remain our highest priority.  We will continue to follow guidance from health experts, state and local officials to determine the safest way to serve everyone in our community.
