STAYING SAFE TOGETHER

As we reopen some membership center locations, the Ozarks Regional YMCA is implementing the following safety protocols in an effort to reduce the health risks for members, staff and other visitors to our facility.

WHAT THE Y IS DOING

  • Single Entry/Exit: To help us maintain our safety protocols, we will maintain a single entry/exit point at all YMCA locations.

  • Personal Protective Equipment such as masks and gloves are available for All Staff.

  • Members will be asked to self-scan to allow for limited contact due to limited capacity based on state guidelines.  In addition, a  NEW waiver will need to be signed with first check-in. We will provide an outdoor check-in area when possible.

  • Designed for Social Distance: All open areas inside the Y have been evaluated and re-designed where necessary to help ensure social distancing between members. Signage will be placed prominently throughout the facility to drive awareness of this requirement.

  • The Y will be operating with modified hours to allow for deep cleaning and sanitizing.

PHASE I:

  • Basketball and Racquetball courts will NOT be available.

  • Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs will NOT be open.

  • Children under the age of 16 are not permitted.  Kidz Zone will NOT be open.

  • Towel Service will be discontinued.

  • Locker Rooms, including showers, steam rooms and saunas will be Closed.

  • In-person Group Exercise classes are Not available, but are available online HERE.

  • Social gathering areas and coffee stations are not permitted.

  • At this time there will be no structured programming such as sports, bootcamp, swim lessons, etc.

  • No Guests or Nationwide Members will be permitted access to the Y.

HOW WE’RE ASKING MEMBERS TO HELP MAINTAIN SAFETY

The YMCA appreciates members’ adherence to the following safety precautions during their visits:

  • Stay Home if You’re Sick: Members should stay home if they don’t feel well. Members of vulnerable populations, including those with underlying health conditions, are strongly encouraged to check with their doctor prior to visiting.

  • Bring a Towel, a Mask and a Water Bottle: Members will be asked to bring their own water bottle and a workout towel (towel services will not be provided). The Y also requests that members bring a mask and wear it whenever possible, especially in common areas where other members are present.

  • Keep Your Distance: Please exercise on designated equipment only and respect all signage regarding social distancing. Strive to maintain at least six feet between you and others whenever possible.

  • Expect Reduced Capacity: To ensure proper social distancing, our wellness areas will have a limited capacity. At times of full capacity you will be asked to wait in a designated area until space is available.

  • Remember to  Wipe Down Equipment:  Please help us reduce the risk of exposure by wiping down all equipment, weights, mats, etc. with the provided cleaning materials.

  • Please wash your hands and use hand sanitizer regularly.

SUMMER DAY CAMP SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Both staff and participants to the program will be screened daily as they enter. Screenings will consist of checking temperatures, questions regarding any recent symptoms involving any illness, and required hand washing.

We will closely adhere to the CDC’s recommendations for sanitation. Groups will be asked to sanitize and disinfect all table surfaces, sports equipment, and any other material that is used during program after each use. Additionally, Program Directors will do routine sanitation checks; ensuring that all program space has been disinfected and cleaned after use.

All groups will also be limited to a 1:12 ratio; each group having their own home station where program activities will take place.
