The Ozarks Regional YMCA offers youth Martial Arts programs for beginners through intermediate skill levels. The types of classes offered vary. Our Martial Arts instructors are experts in their field and strive to provide safe and ethical training. Martial Arts classes hold the values of discipline, personal growth and respect for others. Participants will gain strength, flexibility and mental discipline.
Jiu-Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is primarily a ground grappling style that is designed to take size and weight out of the combat equation and rely totally on skill and technique.
Train with world class coaches under direct lineage of the Gracie Humaita school, and see what it takes to be a champion! All levels are welcome to attend. From beginner to black belt we have an opening for you!
Tae Kwon Do
Tae Kwon Do is a great way to develop balance, coordination, speed and strength, while building self-confidence and discipline in an encouraging, non-intimidating environment. Our classes focus on fitness and conditioning as well as teaching the movements and stances of each martial arts discipline.
Kickboxking
Join us for a full-body workout that combines kickboxing with high-intensity conditioning to sculpt your most important assets. Punch, kick, squat, and lunge your way to increased strength, power, and agility!
Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a low impact form of Chinese martial art, consisting of sequences of very slow and controlled movements. Benefits: In addition to having a positive correlation on increasing bone density, Tai Chi improves circulation, balance, coordination, and stability.
