Play ball!
Youth baseball and tee-ball at the Y are designed to teach young ball players the fundamentals of the game. Participants will learn how to catch, throw, and bat in a fun team atmosphere. Youth baseball and tee-ball provide every child a chance to participate in practices and games. Every child plays at least half of every game while making friends and learning new techniques.
The Y utilizes volunteer coaches to focus on participation and fun! While basic skills of the game are developed through practices and games, every child learns sportsmanship and values necessary to be successful in life. Every game begins with a Youth Sports Pledge and ends with a handshake.
Families are encouraged to be more than mere spectators, by contributing their time as volunteer coaches—as well as being their kid’s greatest fan.

Popflys (Age 3 - 4)
Learn the basics of baseball with the Y’s Popflys program. This 8-week instructional baseball for kids ages 3-4 program gives kids good, basic information and the skills they will need to enjoy the sport for a lifetime! Your child will learn how to throw, catch, field and hit correctly, and the positions of the game.
COED Baseball
YMCA Baseball is designed to teach young players the fundamentals of the game. Participants will learn how to catch, throw, and bat in a fun team atmosphere. Our approach to coaching allows players to learn and have fun!

Build Self-confidence
When kids are active in sports their self-esteem grows as they learn how strong their bodies are and develop physical skills and self-reliance.

Practice Sportsmanship
Being a good sport shows respect for others and helps keep the game in perspective. Understanding sportsmanship fosters positive habits.

Kids learn the basics of the game and refine existing skills under the supervision of caring, skilled, supportive coaches and instructors.

Learn Discipline
Practicing youth sports regularly helps kids learn the importance of discipline, organization, showing self-control, and staying focused.
